SAF: Doing It For The Kids
Sir Alex Ferguson on the child-friendly facilities that Louis Van Gaal is getting rid of...
Over the years some supporters have wondered about my willingness to let the players bring their kids to training during the school holidays. It seems natural enough to me. We are dealing with people, not commodities. Footballers are away from their homes so much in connection with their work, especially at weekends, and I'm glad to give them a chance to take the children out from under their wives' feet. The youngsters aren't a minute's bother. Give them a ball and they are as happy as Larry. Mind you, that is true of their fathers too.
